Continue in the Victory till the end…

2 Kings 25: 7
And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

In the battle field the target of the enemy is king. We the anointed children of God are kings in our spiritual life. Our enemy is satan.

From the above key verse:

  1. The sons of Zedekiah were killed:
    Son speaks of victorious life.
The first and foremost attack of the enemy, the satan is on our victorious life. Our Lord Jesus has already granted victory to us through the death of the cross and we need to continue in that victory through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
  2. The eyes of Zedekiah were plucked off:
    Eyes speaks of vision.
Our vision is our heavenly calling.
We are called with a high calling and heavenly calling (Phil 3:14, Heb 3:1)
If we lose our victory, we lose our anointing and thereby we lose our vision and become blind in our spiritual life not knowing where we are heading.
  3. Zedekiah was bound with fetters:
Fetters speaks of being bound by sin.
After losing our victory and our vision we will become weak in our life, and at that point satan will bind with the cords of sin. (Is 5:18)
  4. Zedekiah was taken to Babylon:
Babylon speaks of destruction or hell.
After losing our victory, losing our vision, losing our strength, we will be pushed into a helpless and hopeless state and finally thrown into the hell fire.

Dear friend:
Are you baptized?
Are you baptized in the Spirit?
If yes, you have attained the basic qualification for the kingdom of God, but that isn’t enough. We have to experience victory every day that is we have to experience the death of Jesus every day. St Paul says I die daily (1Cor 15:31). If we preserve our victory, we can preserve our vision, if we preserve our vision we can preserve our identity (strength), if we preserve our identity, we can preserve our place, the kingdom of God.

May God help us to reach the place which He has preserved for us.

Stay Blessed 😊
