Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience

Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience Deuteronomy 28

The promise was made to the nations as a whole, not to individuals. If Israel obeyed God, He agreed to bless them with success and prosperity. However if they disobeyed, God would punish them. It was intended to witness to the surrounding nations that Israel served the one true God. God would make Israel powerful, a leader among the other nations, the head, not the tail,… at the top never at the bottom. 28:13

When we follow Gods ways we will experience more success than when we go our own way Still suffering may come to those who are righteous Matt 5:10_12. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake… Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake……

Sometimes suffering comes because we live righteously .2 Tim 3:12 God has promised to externally bless those who obey Him. John 14:15. If you love me keep my commandments

When the wicked prosper, two things should be remembered. Gods patience and mercy permit many to enjoy things they do not deserve. Matt 5:45 He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust Gods justice is not completed in this life time.
