I have broken the arm – Lament for Egypt

Ezekiel 30:21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and,
lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword
.”

I have broken the arm. The metaphor was in itself one of the most familiar

The “arm” or hand of the king represented his strength.
Here we read that God metaphorically broke the arm of Pharaoh’s arm/ or hand, and also He didn’t allow for it to receive medical treatment.

This clearly demonstrates the act of judgment.
We value human strength highly today and incredibly difficult to humbly accept human weakness.

Does GOD break people’s arms? Absolutely!
All those who live contrary to His ways will receive the same judgment.

In Psalm 37:17 says – “For the arms of the wicked shall be broken…”

No question about it!
If an individual, people, or nation persist in their sinful ways, God stands ready to break their arms, figuratively speaking, or to strip them of all of their strength and power.

Perhaps we, as an individual – have not had our arms broken!!!

BUT……
………… He has been dealing with us over and over again concerning our pride, hardness of heart, rebellion, disobedience, compromise, hypocrisy, and excuses for sin.

If we persist in our stubbornness, He’s going to break our arms.

Do you know why God is breaking us down like this?
Maybe we answer as, ‘I know, it’s to make me stronger.’

Actually… NO !!!! ….
He’s breaking us down to make us broken.

In Psalms, 51:17, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”

So…. Dear friends……
It’s time to wake up and repent!

His grace will give us victory today if we’ll stop and do things His way.
