He knows the way that I take; when he has tested me

Job 23:10 “But He knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.”

Job was overwhelmed after losing his livelihood, his health, and his family.
And he felt that the Lord was ignoring his pleas for help.

In the middle of his despair, Job had a moment of clarity.
His faith flickered to life like a candle in a dark room.

He said, “[God] knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold”
It is very easy for us to read these lines and to say, “No doubt, men can come out of the furnace purified like gold.”

There are three Refining Steps Required to purify the mined ore into purified gold.
📍The first step in the process was to pound, shatter and crush the ore into a fine powder.
📍The second step is that the crushed and pounded powder, then must go through frequent washings and cleansings.
📍The last step is to place the crushed and cleansed ore in crucibles to the furnace.

The dross-filled gold ore melts at the extreme temperature of 1,948 degrees Fahrenheit (1,064 degrees Celsius).

The impurities in the gold begin to rise to the top and the refiner is then able to skim the impurities off the top of the molten metal.

The more this process is repeated, the purer the gold becomes.

Think about a situation that we are in that crucible and getting heated up until it melts ………….

What is the state of our life, are we in the refiner’s fire right now?

Do we feel like we are melting under the pressures and hardships of life?

It might be……. A scary diagnosis, a job loss, a broken relationship and many more ………………;

God uses suffering to heat up our lives in order to bring the scum of our hearts into full view, that we may repent and be refined—to reflect more accurately the beauty of Jesus.

*If today we are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on us and will keep watching us until He sees His image in us.

So…. remember,…… the burning fire of our life is not a curse, but a blessing.

It is evidence that God loves us and is working in our life. “
