Romans 10 – 14

🔸NO GREATER MISSION
Followers of Christ have a mission. I have a life-transforming message to tell to those who need to hear it. Every day, people all over the world are being saved from sin and its consequences through faith in the Lord Jesus. Our mission as His followers is to be messengers who “preach the gospel of peace”, telling others about the Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no more worthy mission, for “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
Truth is: There’s no better news than the gospel—spread the Word!

🔸AN END TO REVENGE
Revenge is a weapon of such destroying power that God alone can handle it. He said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay”. The weapon He has given to me is kindness. But because God is just, I don’t have to personally repay those who wrong me. With kindness and love, I can bring an end to revenge.
Truth is: Revenge gets us even with our enemy; forgiveness puts us above him.

Romans 12: 17 -19
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”
Paul encourages us to live at peace with everyone and be careful to do what is right.
We need to display the love and forgiveness of Christ and treat people well no matter how they treat us.
As believers of Christ, let’s put our trust in Him and leave the issue of vengeance to Him.
Let’s keep doing our good work and be rewarded with peace and speak good about others even when they don’t.
Let us bless those who persecute us and offer the love and grace that Jesus gave us.
Let’s leave our heavy needs at the foot of the cross and follow the way of our saviour.
