✒️ A Brief Note ✒️

The early Church witnessed the barrier between the Jews and Gentiles being broken. The gentiles were included in God’s kingdom. God used Peter for the initial break through. Peter was pondering over the vision he had when the call from the gentiles came to him. He obeyed God and went to the house of Cornelius (Acts 10:9-22). Cornelius, a centurion of the Italian Regiment had a vision. An Angel told him to send for Peter.

And a large gathering in his house heard the good news preached to them by Peter. And when Peter was still preaching the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers were surprised that the gentiles were included into the kingdom of God (Acts 10:44, 45). Now there is no distinction between Jews and Gentiles. The Fire from Heaven descended upon the gentiles and broke the barrier. We are included in His Kingdom because the barrier was broken.

Opportunities come to people busy serving the Lord

Opportunities come to people busy serving the Lord. God calls people who take time to worship and minister to the Lord. If you want God’s guidance, get busy where you are, and He will show you the next step.

Opportunities usually produce opposition (1 Corinthians 16:9).
Here is another example of the parable of the tares (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43): God sowed the good seed (Paul and Barnabas), and Satan sowed a counterfeit.

Opportunities reveal character. Paul and Barnabas kept going, but John Mark returned home. We do not know why nor should we pass judgment (1 Corinthians 10:12). Barnabas reclaimed John Mark (15:36-41) and Paul eventually accepted him (2 Timothy 4:11).

Opportunities develop leadership. The trip began with “Barnabas and Saul” (Vs. 2), but it became “Paul and his party” (Vs.13). Barnabas rejoiced to see Paul being used so mightily of God (Romans 12:9-11). It was a team effort, and the vital thing was the glory of God.
