Account of the two tribes and a half, seated on the east side of Jordan

1 chronicles 5:20 “They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him.”

This chapter gives some account of the two tribes and a half, seated on the east side of Jordan.
…….. Reuben’s descendants, Gad’s descendants, and Manasseh’s descendants.

These men of Israel were skilled warriors.
They waged war in their endeavor to possess the territory God had given them.
They were armed with shields, swords, and bows, but their greatest weapon was prayer.

Though the combined force of these three tribes numbered 44,760 men (see also Joshua 4:13), and though they were described as valiant and capable soldiers, they faced an opposing army that outnumbered them many times over.
When they were in the middle of the conflict they cried to God.

As soon as they cried out to God during battle, the battle became God’s and not theirs!
And God gave them victory.*
We all have our own battles to fight.

There are 7 billion people on this planet and no matter how different we may be from one another,…. we have one thing in common. Fighting.
Whether it is for survival, recognition or even love, we are fighting all the time.

Consciously or not, our bodies and the soul and the mind are in a constant battle, a constant fight with the world.

Some of us are fighting for our homes and families.
Some of us are fighting despair, fear, worry, or depression.
Some of us are fighting to gain confidence.

All I am saying is that no matter how hard we try, no matter how many people we are dependent on, no one will understand our pain because those people are not in our shoes.

But remember, Dear ones………

As soon as we cry out to God during battle—whatever that battle may be—the battle becomes God’s and not ours!

When we call upon the Lord in our distress, He hears us and moves on our behalf.

God is always attentive of those who put their trust in Him.
There is a difference between faith and trust.
FAITH IS BELIEVING THAT GOD WILL DO WHAT we ASK HIM TO DO.

TRUST IS HAVING CONFIDENCE THAT GOD WILL DO WHAT IS BEST —regardless of what we think is best.

So……………. Friends,
Why don’t we trust in God?

Place our life in His hands, ……….
trust that He will lead us in the way we should go.

His timing is perfect.
