Be strong and of good courage, and do it

1 Chronicles 28:20 “Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed” . . .

Here we see that David is getting prepared to hand his throne over to his son Solomon.

He explained the responsibilities that would soon rest heavy on his shoulders.

Here David is commissioning Solomon to build a permanent Temple for the Lord.

Solomon was young when he became King of Israel.

Knowing Solomon’s trembling heart, David offered his son powerful words: “Be strong and of good courage…fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee”

It is AMAZING to look at how David encourages his son.
HE KNEW THE LIMITATIONS AND WEAKNESSES OF HIS SON SOLOMON.

He never tries to boost Solomon’s self-esteem, but to encourage his confidence in the God who has called him.

He didn’t his son: “You can do this!”, but: “God is with you.”
…….. Not: “You have all the skills you need!”, but: “God will see that the work is completed.”
………. Not: “Just work hard, and do your best!” but: “Trust in God – He will not fail you or forsake you.”

TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN GOD !!!!!!!!!!!

Having confidence in God is something most os us struggle with.

Even though we are aware of His great love for us, we find it hard to apply that knowledge during the trials of life.

During those crisis times, doubt starts to creep in.

The more passionately we pray, the more we wonder whether God is listening.

We start to panic when things don’t improve immediately.

Many times….. when we stumble, we wish God would appear or speak or even give a sign to reassure us.

But…. Dear Friends, …..
Ignore those feelings of uncertainty,
Stop shedding tears,
Stop discouraging ourselves,
Go with what we know to be true.

Let God take control over all our tomorrows.

HE IS THERE TO STRENGTHEN US.
