I will show him how much he must suffer

“For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” Acts 9:16

💘 Saul heartily agreed to the death of Stephen as the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of Saul. Saul then started persecuting the ⛪ church. He entered house to 🏡 house and dragged 👬 men and 👭 women off to put them in prison for believing in Christ. He had imprisoned and had also murdered people for being believers in Christ.

💘 But God wished to save Saul and had great plans for him. Saul had taken letters from the high priest to go to Damascus, so that he could bound and bring men and women, believing in the Lord Jesus to Jerusalem in order to imprison them.

💘 As Saul was traveling and was approaching Damascus, a light of heaven flashed around him and he fell to the ground and he heard a voice saying to him, ” Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? “
And Saul replied, ” Who are You, Lord?” The Lord replied, ” I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do. “
💘 Saul then understood that what he was doing was wrong and from then on he accepted ‘Jesus ‘ as his Lord and Saviour. God revealed to Saul that He had chosen him to proclaim the ‘Good News’ about the Lord Jesus to the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel. (Acts 9:15)

❤️ Thus Saul was converted and became a proclaimer of the Word of God and also suffered much for the name of the Lord. Saul’s enlightenment lead him to be baptised and he was filled with the Holy Spirit and became a great witness to the Lord.

❤️ Lord Jesus help us to witness You and to proclaim Your wonderful works to the world with the zeal and courage like St. Paul. Amen.
