WHAT EDEN SPEAKS TO ME ❗
God planted his garden Eden in the east ( Gen 2:8) . Eden means either delight or much water.
It was a paradise on earth because it was the handiwork of God himself.

💫 Eden Speaks : Be careful when all is well

📌 Adam’s Residence
All perfect, beautiful and bountiful.
📌 Adam’s Responsibility
To look after the garden.
📌 Adam’s Restriction
Not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
📌 Adam’s Response
He failed to stand firm and so he disobeyed God .
📌 Adam’s Regrets
~ Sin came in
~ Shame took over
~ Separation from God

Truly , Adam and Eve resided in the best place on earth : no need to toil; no pollution nor health problems; plenty of time to spend together and having a regular fellowship with God. Yet they disobeyed God. So be careful when all is well 🙏

💫 Eden Speaks : Do not alter God’s Word
Satan raised doubts in Eve’s mind when he asked “Did God really say , you must not eat” ?
Eve altered the very word of God @ 2:16-17 》 3:2-3
Eve omitted the word ” surely ” and added ” you must not touch it “. In totality Eve quoted God’s Word ; added to God’s Word and changed God’s Word , which is a serious offense ( Deut 4:2 ; Prov 30:6 ; Rev 22:19 )

💫 Eden Speaks : Mission took birth
Missions originated in Eden. The Christian Missions which begins in the NT has its roots in OT , where God himself was at work. The world’s religions represents ” men seeking God “. But the God of the Bible is the One who took the initiative in the Eden garden ( Gen 3:8-9 )
God himself was the first missionary. He came , He sought and He found , and He provided a covering to the naked body by killing innocent animal ( a picture of Christ’s sacrifice )

💫 Eden Speaks : The coming of a Redeemer
After the fall God revealed his great plan of salvation to mankind ( Gen 3:15) . It is the promise of a redeemer( a Son) who would be born of a woman and defeat Satan and bring salvation to mankind.

💫 Eden Speaks : The Way to a Garden City
Bible story begins with a beautiful and bountiful garden in which man sinned and ends with a glorious garden city in which there will be no sin. ( Rev 22 )

What brought about this change ⁉

It was at the third garden – Gethsemane where Jesus surrendered to His Father’s Will to die on the Cross for the sins of the world. ✝

💫 Eden Speaks : The final accomplishment
What begins in Eden will finds its fulfilment in the Garden City ( Rev 21 & 22 ) .
📌 The first heavens and the earth was created in Genesis and will be passed away. But a new heaven and new earth will set up as recorded in Revelation ( Rev 21: 1)
📌 The tree of life was guarded in the first garden ( Gen 3:24) but the tree of life would be available in the Garden City ( Rev 22:2)
📌 The first marriage of human beings took place in Genesis, and the last marriage ( the Lamb and his bride- the church) would be solemnized as recorded in Revelation ( Rev 19 )
📌 Satan tempts Eve but Satan would be thrown into the lake of fire as recorded in Revelation.
📌 Death enters the scene in Genesis but there would be no death in the Garden City.
📌 The Redeemer is promised in Genesis after the fall but the Redeemer would reigns forever in the Garden City.
