HE WHO HAS EARS, LET HIM HEAR

The Parable Of The Sower is a popular parable and is recorded in the synoptic gospel ) Mat 13:3-9 ; Mk 4:3-9 ; Lk 8: 5-8 ). The seed is God’s Word and the various soils represent different kinds of hearts. We have seen that the SOWER ( Jesus ) and the SEED ( God’s Word ) did not vary. It is only the type of SOIL varied , although they all have received the perfect seed from the sower.

โœ Jesus described four different kinds of hearts :

1๏ธโƒฃ THE WAYSIDE HEART ( The hard soil )
The wayside was the path that ran through the common field , separating the plots. Such type of soil are very hard because of the foot that trampled on it. Such person hears the Word but it does not enter into the heart.
๐Ÿ“Œ Be careful, ” who is TOILING IN YOUR HEART”.

2๏ธโƒฃ THE STONY HEART ( The Shallow soil )
They receive the word with joy but failed to grow up because they lack roots.
๐Ÿ“Œ Be careful, ” are you ROOTED & BUILT up in Christ ” .

3๏ธโƒฃ THE THORNY HEART ( The Crowded Soil )
They received the word but are carried away by the attractions of this world.
๐Ÿ“Œ Be careful, ” you are IN THE WORLD but NOT OF THE WORLD ” .

4๏ธโƒฃ THE GOOD HEART ( The Good Soil )
It represents those who hears , understands , received His Word joyfully and bears fruits.
๐Ÿ“Œ Be careful, ” you are BLESSED to be a BLESSING “.

โœ Jesus gave them certain admonition at the close of this parable :

โœ… He who has ears , LET HIM HEAR ( Matthew 13:9 )
โœ… Consider carefully WHAT YOU HEAR ( Mark 4:24 )
โœ… Consider carefully HOW YOU LISTEN ( Luke 8:18 )

๐Ÿ’• Beloved Church, it is important that ” We hear God’s Word ; How we hear and What we hear ” because “Faith comes by hearing God’s Word “.

Let us examine ourselvesโ€ฆ and meditate upon His Words ( 2Cor 13:5; Jos 1:8 )
