Path of vulnerability is the way to save
Mark:15
❇️ My God, My God why have you forsaken me? (v34)
❇️ This was the cry of our Lord on the cross when he was facing the brunt of the wrath of God in our place.
❇️ Christ was forsaken by his Father so that we could be forgiven. The ultimate judge made himself vulnerable enough to be judged by the unjust.
What sent him to the cross?
❇️ It was not the conspiracy of the high priest or the cowardice of unjust Pilate but our sins sent him to the cross.
What held him on the cross for 6 long agonizing hours?
❇️ Neither the nails nor the Roman soldiers kept him on the cross but the demands of justice& obedience to his Father’s will and his agape love for us kept him on the cross for the 6 long agonizing hours.
❇️ As per the justice of God sin has to be paid for. Substitutionary sacrifice of our Lord was the only way we could be forgiven and the demands of justice could be met.
❇️ Had not our Lord been vulnerable enough to be crucified on the cross we all would have been condemned to eternal death. As our response to this love let us choose the path of vulnerability to face sufferings, insults, persecution with fortitude as his witnesses and help save our fellow humans.
✅ Insights learnt:
▪️ Jesus Christ was forsaken for our forgiveness
▪️ Our sins and his love were the reasons for the cross of calvary
▪️ Vulnerability is the way to be his witness

Jerusalem at the time of passover was one great inn.
Each householder had invited his own friends, but no one had invited the Saviour and he had no dwelling of his own.
It was by His own Supernatural Power that He found Himself an upper room in which to keep the feast.
It is so even to this day — Jesus is not received among the people.
All doors are opened enough to the prince of darkness.
But Jesus must clear a way for Himself or lodge in the streets.
It was through the mysterious power exerted by our Lord that the householder raised no
question, but atonce cheerfully and joyfully opened his guest chamber.
He readily accepted the honour which the Reedeemer proposed to confer upon him.
A secret work going on in our soul, and that God has chosen us to eternal life.
Are we willing to receive Christ?.
There is no difficulty in the way.
Christ will be our guest.
His power is working with us.
What a honour to entertain the Son of God.
The heaven of heavens cannot contain Him and yet He condescends to find a house within our hearts.
We are not worthy that He should come under our roof.
Blessed among the sons of Adam’s is he who entertains the angel’s Lord.
