Day 208, 270 Days Bible Reading, Sunday, 7.2.21.

In this Lockdown let us Seek First the Kingdom of God and His Ways of Doing Things…Matthew 6:33-34

🥀Nothing is more important or more powerful than God’s Word. You must through the reading of God’s be born again by the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, 1Peter 1:23. Make Jesus your Lord and Savior, otherwise Bible reading becomes a religious exercise instead of a relationship with Jesus WHO IS THE WORD OF GOD, Revelation 19:13. We need to put God first in every area of our lives.

🥀Today, we read the two most important things Jesus told His audience. First, To Seek His Kingdom first and Secondly, His Righteousness and then everything we need all will be added to us, Matthew 6:33. So we got to seek His Kingdom, then get through its Gate through Christ Jesus, WHO will give us His Righteousness. I was given my first Bible 39 years ago with Matthew 6:33 written on the front page by my friends. I had no clue what it meant. I only know a Sunday School song with that title but was still happily lost!. Now in this lockdown for nearly a year, far away from my familiar surrounding, totally unprepared, God is adding things to me in an unbelievable way. I am cared for each day, more than the birds in air and lilies of the field, Matthew 6:25-34.

🥀Child of God, Remember this, Matthew 6:33 which says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be provided unto you,” is one of the most popular memory verses about the promise of God to meet the needs of His children. Jesus was teaching during the sermon on the mount, the existence of a new and different kingdom. He was teaching about the kingdom lifestyle where He is the ruler and those who seek His kingdom have to submit to His rule. His reference to seek His kingdom reminds us that there is more to reality of the kingdom than what we can know through our five senses

🥀Christ, and Christ alone, is sufficient to equip us for His kingdom. It is through Christ we have access to the divine provision to meet the needs that often cause us to worry, especially in this lockdown when so many have lost their jobs and many are struggling to put food on the table. Yet, Jesus was giving His audience the assurance of being cared for by our heavenly Father who feeds the birds and clothes the fields, Matthew 6:26-30

🥀Paul who sought God’s first wrote, “He who did not spare his own Son, but offered Him up for us all; how will He not along with Him grant us everything?”, Roman 8:32. When our spiritual reality of the kingdom of God transcends our material existence, we see that all our worries are taken care of. For this reason Paul prayed for the saints at Ephesus for God to open the eyes of their heart, Ephesians 1:17, so that they can see that they are already blessed in Christ Jesus with every spiritual blessing which can become a reality, Ephesians 1:3

🥀Let us in this lockdown seek God’s kingdom and pursue and submit to the reign and rule of almighty God, who is so near to those who seek Him, so that the worries of life in this lockdown dominate our lives… Amen🙏
