Most High Sacrifice ♨️

Leviticus, the third book of the Pentateuch contains the Laws pertaining to the priests and Levites. It can be considered as the manual book of the priests. God had planned so meticulously and meaningfully about each sacrifice and offering.

Leviticus contains so many rules, regulations and rituals regarding offerings and sacrifices. The priests had to particularly process every procedure. It is overwhelming to read about the various offerings and sacrifices.

How blessed we are! The sacrifical death of Jesus on the cross have paved way for a new way. Now there are no external rituals, traditions or procedures. No need to come to His presence with an animal for sacrificing.

Jesus Christ is our Mediator. Therefore there is no necessity for any other mediator to approach God. We can enter the seat of mercy having been cleansed with the precious blood of Jesus. Once for all Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of the entire human race. Now we only need to believe on His sacrificial death on the cross.

There is no necessity to go to a particular place to worship God. He is there in our midst when two or three gather in His name. He is there when we pray to Him behind closed doors. But He who offered Himself for us expects us to offer ourselves to Him as a living sacrifice.

📖 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service (Rom 12:1).

Can we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God? God bless us to be channels of blessings as we consecrate ourselves.
