It is dangerous to be moving around carrying the light of God and you do not allow it to shine You can change your whole family as an individual You can bring them on the map, anything that they touch will prosper because of you *Why should your tribe disappear when you are there?.

But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharoah, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hitites

From the nation’s of whom the Lord had said to the children of Israel, You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods. Solomon clung to these in love.

And he had seven hundred wives, princesses and three hundred concubines and his wives turned away his heart.

For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.

Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord, as did his father David.

1 Kings 11: 1-4, 6
We serve a God who has asked us not to marry unbelievers, because they wean us away from the living God to the lifeless and powerless man made gods of this earth. The above scripture portion tells us that Solomon the wisest and richest King on the face of this earth has got seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines and his wives turned his heart away from God. The person to whom God spoke twice in dreams, the person who built a temple for Him, the person who prayed to God and received instant answers has now started running to foreign gods.

Satan works where God works, but in the end it is defeated and Gods plan and purpose prevails. Solomon was chosen by God to be the king of Israel after David and he was chosen by God to build a temple for Him, after building the temple Solomon had nothing left to do for God, his hands, heart, mind and life became empty of and for God’s work, so he began collecting foreign women as wives and concubines. If you don’t have a vision for and from God, then the devil will give you an alternate vision, when you leave God, the devil takes over ( the devil waits to take over a person who walks with God, if God needs you even the devil needs you, it is in our hands to choose what we want ).

Many in the body of Christ wrongly blame the wealth and the foreign wives for Solomon’s downfall. The thief comes to steal kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life and life in abundance, it is in our hands to choose what we want. It was not the wealth or the foreign wives the cause for Solomon’s downfall, it was his own fault, because it was he who opened the door to the devil. It was in his hands to open or close the door to the devil and he opened the door to the devil with his own hands. We have every choice and opportunity to slam the door on the devil’s face, but if we open the doors of our hearts, mind and life to the devil, then only it will come, enter and sit comfortably on the sofa of our lives and make us dance according to its tactics and tunes. It is wisdom to always keep the doors of our hearts, mind and life closed to the devil and open it only for God and His word.

God from the beginning of the creation has asked His children not to marry unbelievers, it was because of this reason that He had to destroy the whole earth with water and start a new mankind through Noah and family ( Genesis 6: 1-9 ). Many in the body of Christ don’t follow God and practice His word in their teenage years, they get married to unbelievers in haste and suffer leisurely for an entire life time. The famous dialogue they say before getting married is ” we will change them ” and without changing anyone they get changed and suffer silently for an entire life time. There were two thieves on the cross along with Jesus, Jesus the savior of the whole world was besides them one thief believed in Him and went to paradise, and the other thief did not believe in Him and landed in hell. Salvation is a free gift from God the humble receive it and the prideful resist it. The other thief said to Jesus, if You are the Christ save Yourself and then save me, his unbelief took him into hell ( Luke 23:39-43 )

Seperation, divorce, remarriage and adultery is prevalent in the world and slowly it has crept into the church also, these which is not supposed to exist in the church is now become common, instead of the church teaching and preaching the world about marriage, the world has successfully entered into the church with its wrong teachings of seperation, divorce, remarriage and adultery. It is time that the church of God learns and teaches that marriage is a covenant and it is sacred and holy and God is involved in the covenant of marriage and the God that we have and serve is a covenant keeping God and that a covenant can never be broken ( adultery is a ticket to hell ).

In the end Solomon learned from his mistakes, he wrote more about adultery than any other Bible writers.

Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding, He who does so destroys his own soul.
Wounds and dishonor he will get, And his reproach will not be wiped away.

Proverbs 6:32-33
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for the good life partners that You have given to us, give unmarried people the grace to believe and practice the word not to enter into the covenant of marriage with unbelievers. Lord we uphold every person who is suffering with unbelievers as married partner change the hearts of the unbelieving partner and give them the grace to turn to You and accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of their lives and to follow and practice the word in Jesus name we ask and pray.
