The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness

1 Samuel 26:23 “The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hand today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.”

Here we read that God helped David against King Saul by putting the whole army into a deep sleep.

It was two against three thousand !!!

Right there in the middle of the camp standing above King Saul, David and Abishai have a conversation.

Abishai wants to kill King Saul but David chooses to do right and says “I will not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.”
Instead they took the King’s spear and water jug and left.

Then David called out from a distance and talked to Abner, and to the King saul.

Twice Saul had been within David’s arm.

But in both instances, he chose to wait for God’s timing.
He was unwilling to take matters into his own hands.

David was patient.
Patience is a matter of trust in God.

Allow God the time to act and keep His promises.

Waiting on God’s timing goes against our human nature, but God rewards those who wait for Him.
As we wait for God to give us direction and answer our prayers, we can wait with hope and not desperation

Dear ones in Christ, *Be patient WITH God, and strive to be as patient as God.
