Every step that you take today must add value towards your tomorrow *Being great at anything takes time, commitment and consistency* Only the Holy Spirit can get you the balance of your life.

And there was a great famine in Samaria, and indeed they besieged it until a donkeys head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one fourth of a kab of doves droppings for five shekels of silver.

Then Elisha said, Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord. Tomorrow by this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.

So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this be?. And he said, In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.

And so it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.

2 Kings 6:23, 7:1,2,20.
We serve a God who can change the economy of not one person or a family, but that of a whole nation and that too overnight, He changed the story and history of the Israelites who were working as bonded slaves in Egypt, He turned them into millionaires overnight, what the Egyptians had collected and stored for four hundred and thirty years was just simply, cooly, completely and conveniently transferred into the hands of the Israelites.

Slaves who ate slave food ( no work no food) started eating supernatural provision from a supernatural God, manna in the morning, meat in the evening, drinking water from rocks, air conditioners in the day time ( cloud by day shielding them from the sun ), electric heater in the evening (pillar of fire for heat ), no hard work, simply eating and going around the mountains for forty years. God’s supernatural provision and His supernatural ways of providing for His children can never be understood with a natural mind. It requires a supernatural mind and heart to understand and receive from a supernatural God, that’s our God the greatest giver the world has and can ever see, He gave His Son Jesus to us and the world.

The above scripture portion tells us that there was a famine in Samaria the famine was so severe that dove droppings were sold for shekels of silver, and women were taking turns to boil their own children and eat. Prophet Elisha entered into the crisis and spoke the word of the Lord and it came to pass. When God handles our crisis, the scene and results will be different, He used four lepers to change the whole economy upside down, they simply walked in and the entire Syrian army ran for their lives leaving everything for others. When Jesus enters into the problem that you are facing, the devil has no other option left, but to simply run away from you. The officer who couldn’t believe in the word of the Lord could see it happening in front of his eyes, but he was not able to enjoy it, he was trampled by people and he died. Faith will always speak, hear, see, attempt, receive, possess, and enjoy the impossible. Unbelief will only allow us to see others enjoying the labor and fruits of their faith.

Many of us when we face problems and challenges, we give upon God very very easily, we stop reading the Bible, fasting, praying, giving, going to the church and Bible study. We think that it is all over now, what is the use of doing all these?. We don’t do all these for God to move and bless us, we do all these, because we love God. Anyone can follow and walk with God in good times (even an unbeliever can do that) our test of faith is when we follow and walk with God in bad times. David walked with God in good and in bad times. Saul walked with God in good times when problems came he ran searching for mediums, Saul is gone and forgotten, whereas David is remembered in and for eternity. It pays to follow and walk with God in good and in bad times.

Beloved give that never ending and impossible problem and situation that you are facing in your life into God’s hands today and see Him changing your story and history overnight and give you a brand new beginning. What He did for the people of Samaria, He will do it for you, He is no respecter of a person, He is a respecter and rewarder of faith and faith alone.
