Although we feel lost, it’s in those moments that God is prepping us for the future *Don’t just go through it, Grow through it * It’s serving God’s plan *You are God’s potential* Real love forgets wrongs, so that there is hope for the future.

So David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead, and said to them, You are blessed of the Lord, for you have shown this kindness to your lord, to Saul, and have buried him.

And now may the Lord show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness, because you have done this thing.

2 Samuel 2:5-6
We serve a God who is love, and He has commanded us to love Him, to love our neighbor and to love our enemies. The above scripture portion tells us that David is telling the men of Jabesh Gilead that kindness will be shown to them, because they had shown kindness to Saul by burying him after his death. David was a man of love, kindness and gratitude, he showed love, kindness and gratitude to Saul who ran after his life, even though he had the opportunity to kill Saul he didn’t do it, he also showed love, kindness and gratitude to Saul’s family.

Love, kindness and gratitude is a seed in the kingdom of God. The world may not recognize, respect, reciprocate and reward these, but it is a seed in the kingdom of God and it will always bring in a good harvest. David showed love, kindness and gratitude to Saul and his family, God showed mercy and kindness to David and his descendants, even though David had committed adultery and planned for a murder the kingdom was not taken away from him and the kingdom was not taken away from his descendants also, even though they drifted from the living God to foreign god’s, God allowed David’s descendants to be on the throne of Israel.

Peter and John were the closest disciples of Jesus. He trained them for three years. Peter saw all the supernatural miracles that He had performed, he walked with Jesus on the water and he even recognized Jesus as the Son of God when the other disciples couldn’t, but when the time came for him to stand with and for Jesus he denied Him thrice. The apostle of love John was with Him till the end and, because of this God revealed the precious mystery of the end times to him, the book of Revelation.

Jesus loved Peter even though he denied and deserted Him after His resurrection, He specifically asked Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome to go and tell His disciples and Peter ( Mark 16:7 ) that He has risen. Jesus went searching for Peter and the other disciples, gave them a huge haul of fish and prepared and served breakfast for them. Jesus had promised Peter that the new covenant church would be built on him, after His resurrection He did not forget His promise to Peter, He did not go back, because Peter denied Him, He showed the same love and kindness to Peter, He reinstated him, He asked Peter to take care of His sheep and the new covenant church is built and stands upon him.

Beloved love, kindness and gratitude is a seed in the kingdom of God and it will always bring in a good harvest.

We love Him because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

That you may be sons of your Father in heaven.

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Heavenly Father thank You for the word, we come before Your throne of grace and mercy this day, we ask of You Lord to give us the grace to love our enemies and those who persecute us, give us the grace that we may be able to show love and kindness to them and win them over to Christ in Jesus mighty, matchless and magnificent name, we ask and pray.
