Ecstatic Love of God for us

Zephaniah Chapter 3

*What if we knew just how much God loves us? *
What would that mean to us?
How would it change our life?

A MESSAGE OF HOPE (3:14-15)
🙋‍♀️The LORD has taken away our punishment, and turned back our enemy.
🙋‍♂️Judah’s sins are forgiven; their enemies will no longer dominate them, they are now under God’s protection.
WHYâť“
🙋‍♀️Because* the Lord, the King of Israel, is with them; never again will they fear any harm.*

❗️What a comfort and hope we get from this message❗️

The messages of doom suddenly washed away by the Lord.

In the midst of this spiritual crisis, God replaces judgment with salvation.

‼️That is love‼️

God offers us the same love; a love so great that He offers to meet us in the midst of our spiritual crisis, though we have rejected His plan in favor of our own interests.

Despite our miserable past, God’s promise brings hope for the future.

REASONS TO REJOICE (3:16-17)

  1. The Lord your God is with you; He is mighty to save.
    đź“ŤGod wants to redeem us, to give us a new life.
    📍The question is “Will you give that life to Him”?
  2. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love.
    📌The Hebrew word “ahaba”, used here means:
  • The passionate love of Jacob for Rachel (Gen. 29:20)
  • Michal for David (1 Sam. 18:28),
  • The fond love of Jacob for Joseph (Gen 37:3).
    đź“ŚThis kind of love is far different from loyalty or loving-kindness.
    đź“ŚThis is the love God has for His people, a love that actually delights Him.
  1. He will rejoice over you with singing.
    🎼God’s love for Judah is so overwhelming it cannot be contained, but bursts into elated singing.
    🎼As we come to him through the atoning work of Christ, God rejoices.
    🎼His love (ahaba) is so great, so personal, so powerful that it cannot be silent.

Just thinking about us makes Him smile. . .His love for us causes him to break into songs about us!

♥️LIFE LESSONS
đź’ĄGod wants to know us personally.
đź’ĄHe wants to redeem us.
💥He can’t stop thinking about you.
💥The very thought of us makes him “Ecstatic”.

đź’ĄThe question we must answer is:

What is keeping us from giving our lives to Christ?
Is it ambition?
Embarrassment?
Fear?

LET’S ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL LOVE OF GOD AND RECIPROCATE THE SAME‼️
