Paul and Silas were singing for injustice was done

Acts 16:25-26
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”

Paul and Silas were singing when injustice was done to them. They casted a demon out of a girl and her masters had beaten them and jailed without a trial.

The first thing Paul and Silas did in the jail was prayer. They didn’t pray individually, they prayed together. They turned the questions they had about their circumstances over to God. Then they reaffirmed their faith in God by singing hymns to him.

Together they found strength. This strength was not merely in their companionship, they were able to sing because they pointed each other toward God.

They helped each other maintain focus on God’s work in their lives.

When adversity hits, we can help each other focus on the One who has all of life’s answers.

Like Paul and Silas, choose to focus on God and praise Him in adversity, and see what He will do!
