The Fat ๐Ÿ‘ and the Lean ๐ŸฆŒ

There are several questions put forth in the 34th chapter of the Book of Ezekiel that we need to study, reflect and address honestly. It is necessary to know where we stand.

๐Ÿ“– Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? (Eze 34:18).

The Scriptures mention about two types of believers. The Fat ones refers to those who have established themselves in the spiritual circle. The lean ones refers to those who are growing in the kingdom of God. They grow in the midst of trials and troubles. They stagger and struggle to keep their faith intact.

The Fat believers at times mess up life for the lean growing ones. They trample and muddy their life. It is done subtly by slandering their names. Putting them constantly down before others that make them feel miserable. Finding fault with the lean ones in every move of theirs. Making others avoid them by spreading lies about them.

God is concerned about the weak and lean ones. He sees their situation and tough times. And He puts forth this question to the fat ones.

๐Ÿ“– Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet? (Eze 34:19)

If the fat believers don’t regret, repent and return from their evil doings, God is sure to take up the issue. God will judge between the fat and the lean ones.

๐Ÿ“– โ€œโ€†โ€˜Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep (Eze 34:20).

Dear ones in Christ, where do we stand? Are we lean ones in the receiving end or are we the fat ones? We cannot meddle in the life of the weak and downtrodden forever. God at times gives a long rope so that the overbearing ones repent.

Are we Spirit filled Christians or are we spiteful believers? Can we look at the growing ones without envy and pride? Are we upset when God endows someone with spiritual gifts?

If we are the fat ones today is the best day to repent. If we are the weak one’s, rejoice for God sees your agony. You will no longer be plundered and put down. He will deliver you from the oppressor.

God bless us to be channels of blessings.
