My Redeemer Lives

If we are confident that our God lives, our words and actions will be different. We will not be shaken by temporary troubles.

Job was going through enormous heartbreaks and heartaches. He was in rejection and confusion. Everything was in turmoil except His faith in God.

He wrote that his friends had reproached him ten times. He was stripped of honor. His brothers alienated and hated him. His acquaintances were estranged from him. His kinsmen had gone away. His friends had forgotten him (Job 19).

He was considered as a stranger by his guests and maidservants. His servant ignored his call. His breathe was offensive to his wife. Little boys scorned him. His intimate friends detested him. Any other man would have succumbed to such crisis. But Job’s faith in God rose above all calamities. He said:

📖 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! (Job 19:25‭, ‬27).

Job’s piety was deep rooted in God irrespective of circumstances. His trust in God wavered not in trials and troubles. And this was revealed in the words he spoke.

Dear ones in Christ, God promised us eternal life and not a trouble free life. Tribulations and hardships are part of faith life. We have to pass through the burning furnace not to be burnt alive. The fire burns off all impurities and we come out shining and glowing.

If you are going through a difficult phase in your journey of life, rejoice. God is in control. He knows the way you are traversing. Our Redeemer lives. He is alive and He will bring us through. Keep trusting Him.

God bless us to be channels of blessings.
