Until the Covid-19 pass, take shelter under God’s wings… Psalm 57:1

🕊️ David knew what it was to face disaster and danger. He also knew where to hide until it was safe again. The only safe place for David and for me and for anyone else is under the shadow of God’s wings, Psalm 57:1. That is where we will find the wisdom to know when it’s safe to come out. Why does God provide a hiding place for times of disaster? It is because He is working out the next stage of our spiritual growth, so that we can serve Him for a greater purpose. He knows everything about the enemy’s strategies and doesn’t want us to become easy baits. God has to fulfill His purpose through us. We must wait until we hear from heaven and receive His Love and Faithfulness, Psalm 57:2-3.

🕊️ From Genesis to Revelation we can see the record of individuals and nations being delivered by God supernaturally. It is to teach to draw hope and comfort from the Word of God, Romans 15:4. That is why we should encourage our family and friends to get into the Word of God daily through groups like this, where we learn from each other and grow together in this 270 days journey. In this world of sin, sorrow, temptation, pandemics and lockdowns, we are always in danger zone. When calamities overwhelm on every side, leaving no way of escape but a sinking feeling in our helplessness and fear, we have the choice to flee to the place of refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us, for those who seek the godly way of deliverance. The ungodly will use they own self-effort for their deliverance.

🕊️ Child of God, Remember this, we will always face challenging situations in our life’s journey. When we are facing conflict, calamities and chaos who do we seek first? Before we go to the phone, let us go to the throne. When God undertakes our rescue mission, He will complete His undertakings. God performs more than He promises, whereas man promises more than he performs. That is why some nations need God to turn around the world’s infection rate, death rate, economic gloom… among other things. The nearer we get to God, the more clearly we see things in God’s light and the purpose He has for us in any unhealthy situation that is harmful to us. God knows how to rescue His own.

🕊️ David acknowledges his rescue with gratitude, Psalms 57:7-11. If we have experienced God’s rescue and deliverance in the past, we can gratefully thank Him for the deliverance in our present situation. Our faith gains force and our hopes grow stronger when we recall all the past deliverance. What God has done is earnest of what God will do again through Jesus Who is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrew 13:8. It doesn’t matter how all this temporary lockdown situation looks like, we have a great escape into the shadow of His wings until it’s all over. God is able to do for us exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20… Amen. 🙏
