Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

Psalm 139:7, 17,18.
We serve a God who desires and gives the best to His children. The above scripture portion speaks to us about God’s spirit, presence and about His precious thoughts towards us. David a man after God’s own heart knew God at a deeper level, he is asking God where can I go from Your spirit or where can I flee from Your presence?. David knew that running away from God and His presence brings nothing ( you gain nothing, but lose everything). David knew the secret, where the Spirit of God is, there is creation, recreation, restoration, healing, deliverance and prosperity.

God’s thoughts and ways will always be for good to those who love Him. Many times when we go through problems and challenges in life we ask God many questions, where are You my Lord?, If You are really there then why am I going through all this?, and the biggest question of all is why have You forgotten me?. Sometimes it may seem and look like God has forgotten us, but the truth is that God is never forgotten us, His eyes are upon us, His ears are attentive to our cries and prayers and He will never leave us nor forsake us, that is why David is telling where can I go leaving Your Spirit and presence?. Once you taste the love, goodness, mercy and miracle working power of God in your life, you can and never will run away from Him and even if you try to leave and run away from Him, He will never leave you, He will leave the ninety nine and come searching for the one lost sheep and fulfill His given promises.

Repentance is one of God’s greatest gift to mankind and it brings elevation. David even though he committed adultery and planned for murder repented and came back to God, he lost his son born out of adultery, but God didn’t leave him in that state, He gave him another son Solomon who was the wisest and richest man on this earth. The lost prodigal son repented and came back to his Father’s house and he was reinstated back to his old position as a son, he thought he would become a slave, but his father reinstated him back as a son and gave him back all that he had squandered away. Peter the disciple of Jesus denied Him thrice and went away, but he repented and came back to Jesus and God reinstated him back to his old position, the new covenant church stands upon him and he has got the keys of heaven in his hands.

The greatest thing and possession on the face of this earth is knowing God and His word, even if we are a billionaire and we have anything and everything with us and if we don’t know God and His word, it is all a mere waste. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and yet loses his own soul?. If you have not yet given your heart and life to Jesus I would like to encourage you to give your heart and life to Jesus, make Him the Lord and savior of your life. Give Him the first place in your life, read the Bible and pray regulary, go to a good Bible based church and Bible study regularly and see Him taking you to such heights, places and glory that which you would have never thought, imagined or dreamt.

Beloved no matter what condition you are in, that is not your conclusion, come back to Jesus and He will rewrite your story, He will make your old and sad story a history and give you a brand new beginning. What He has done for others, He will do it for you.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

“For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah 55 :8-12.
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank for Your spirit and presence which is always with us. Give us the grace to never drift away from You, but to always remain with You. Lord we uphold everyone who has drifted away from You, give them the grace to repent and come back to You, meet them at their point of need, promote and elevate them in their lives. Thank You for answering our prayers and performing miracles in everyone’s lives in Jesus name we ask and pray.
