In this Lockdown God is Reminding us again why we should Choose Life not as an Option but as Obedience… Deuteronomy 30:19

🍀God wanted His People to Live a Blessing Lifestyle. He so much wanted things to go well for them and their families for Generations to come. All they had to do was Obey the Word to receive the Blessings.

🍀God set out two choices for the Israelites and told them to chose what He wanted them to choose and that was Life.. Deutronomy 30:19. God was helping them to make the choice. All they had to do was Obey. Obedience to God’s Word and Loving God with all their heart would bring tremendous blessings, Deuteronomy 30:9-10

Wouldn’t it be easier if the Israelites chose life and enjoyed God’s blessings? But, Bible tells they didn’t.

🍀Isn’t that what we are suppose to do? To choose the Abundant Life Jesus came to give? John 10:10. But, our flesh wants to do the opposite for short term gratification with long term consequences.

🍀Adam and Eve were given a choice and they chose Death instead of Life, listening to Satan’s voice. But, thank God, He has given us another choice to get back to the Life that was once lost, the Abundant Life in Jesus, John 10:10 Life and Death, Blessings or Curses are Choices. Life is a series of choices. To make the right choice we got to hear the right voice. God’s Voice or Satan’s voice? Adam and Eve chose to hear Satan’s voice.

🍀God had already settled the consequences of the choice the Israelites would make. There was only two paths that they could choose to walk. One would lead to Life and Blessing and the other will lead to Death and Curses, but they had to chose the path, Deuteronomy 30:19.

🍀After going through a list of horrible consequences of the curses in Deuteronomy 28:15-68, God kept on Reminding them in Chapter 30 to Obey Him. God will not choose for us, but He has already settled the outcome of our choice. Even today God is asking us to Obey Him.

🍀Blessing is an empowerment for success and fruitfulness, whereas Curse is a Blessing Blocker that resultes in failure, delays, and unfruitfullness. When we Bless we are obeying God’s Word which will result in a Blessing. We are Blessed to be a Blessing for others

🍀Dear Child of God, When we Bless, we are obeying God’s Word which will result in a Blessing. We are Blessed to be a Blessing for others. Jesus exhorted us to Bless those who curse us. The natural tendency is for us to curse those who curse us, but we who are in Christ are called to bless, Luke 6:27, 1 Peter 3:9. Jesus has became a curse for us, so that we might get the Blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus, Galatians 3:13-14. Jesus was hung on a tree to become a curse, Deuteronomy 21:23.

🍀We don’t have to see to this Lockdown as a curse. We might be squeezed in for a season but it will become a blessing when we surrender our situation to God. God will unlock His Blessings in this Lockdown, when our highest priority is to Love and Obey Him. He has Empowered us to Love Him and Obey Him through the Indewelling of Holy Spirit, as we chose the Life which God has given us in Christ Jesus…..Amen🙏
