Put Yourself in the Shoes/ Sandals of the Jews

Jeremiah 27:12

Bow your neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon;serve him and his people and you will live

🥿🥿Put Yourself in the Shoes/Sandals of the Jews

▪️From my vantage point, at first I wondered with irritation why these Jews had to be so stubborn and not believe or obey.
▫️Then another thought came in hot pursuit. What if it was now, in your own country? What if a prophet came and told you to surrender and go to the country of the conquerors. We’d think he was a madman. For us in India, this would be equivalent to God instructing us to surrender to the Chinese and go as captives to their country! Otherwise worse would follow. 😲 I Think the Indians would prefer to die fighting! 🤔. Yes it pinches when you are touched. Till then we can be judgemental and pass opinions

Need to Examine Our Hearts and Our Proximity to God

▪️Are we on God’s wavelength? Do we see things from his perspective? Or are we just looking at a corner of the blueprint and missing the whole?

▫️Prophets/preachers galore! We click with those who think like us or say things we prefer to hear. We don’t have a genuine relationship with God to be able to identify his prophet, his mouthpiece.

What do We Do?

We need to get a new pair of spiritual glasses. We need to build a genuine relationship with God.
We need to pray for discernment. We can be so confused, baffled, mistaken in our views to which we hold so staunchly.

🧡God is speaking to us even now but we are deaf and blind. Big things are afoot but we’re not listening or pushing it away, saying it’s our imagination.

💕Let us get on to God’s wavelength, pray for discerning eyes and be obedient

Jeremiah 26:13 “Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you.

Here Jeremiah tells Israel to amend their ways and obey the voice of the Lord, then the Lord will change His mind.

Sounds simple right?
Unfortunately, the greatest battle for every Christian isn’t with the world or even Satan, it will always be with ourselves.

We need to amend our ways.
We need to start filling ourselves with the Word of God and commit to following it.*
We need to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
……. Instead of chasing after our own desires.

Don’t follow in the footsteps of Israel.

Today the Lord gives us another chance to repent.
He does not want our life to end in ruin, on the contrary His love and mercy calls us every day.
His plans are not to destroy us, on the contrary, He wishes that we may be restored.

Turn back to God today and let Him guide us along the way.

The great passion of God’s heart is that we believe in Jesus Christ.

Dear friends, ………….
…. *take joy and delight in God.
……. Pray that our lives are pleasing to God.
…. Obey Him in everything.
, ………….. only then we will see a future that is prosperous and full of his blessing!
