Holiness with godliness

Job 31:1
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

What you think is what you are.
Thoughts are more dangerous than looks. Looks are visible, thoughts are invisible.
Our confessions and covenants with in us should be in the form of actions like how Job made. But how to continue in that covenant is most important.
Actions are on the screen, and the reason for for the outcome of that actions are behind the screen.
Mere confessions will not work out, it requires homework. Confession is very simple but to continue needs a strong determination.
That’s what we see in the life of Job. He made a covenant to not to look upon a woman with lustful eyes, then he made a determination that he will not allow even the thought of her to creep into his mind.
Often we make confessions and covenants against certain bad habits that would ruin our spiritual lives but many a times we fail to continue in that because of the lack of determination. The reasons for failures could be, most of the times the confessions are emotional, at times very happy or very sad we make confessions, but we have to understand that only through supernatural power we can continue to overcome. That is through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the grace of God and by the wisdom from gotten from God we can exercise a victorious life.
Jesus said, that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. (Mark 7:20-23)

Job the old covenant saint who did not taste the love of God was so zealous for holy life, how much more we who tasted the Love of God through Jesus should be zealous to lead a Holy life
Jesus said:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Mat 5: 28)

Stay Blessed 😊
