Job 22: 28
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Your travel will be pleasant if the light shines on your path. If the paths are dark there is the danger of the snakes and scorpions roaming around. How could one travel a long distance in paths of darkness?

In the ancient days, the animals walked on some routes and created tiny paths. Since men also walked on those tiny paths repeatedly, the paths were devoid of grass and stayed as paths permanently. But today, National Highways have been created and they connect even nations.

But at the same time, there is a path which is invisible to man. That is the path of your life. You keep on advancing in this path. You are not going to walk repeatedly on the same path and you are also not going to get back the past seasons which you have lost.

Paths of death are there and paths of life as well. The Scripture says that the paths which look the best to man are the paths of death. Many people walk in the path of sin. Many walk in the paths of the harlot. Solomon cautions and says, “My son, do not walk in the way with them, keep your foot from their path” (Pro 1:15).

At the same time, you can also see another path and the Scripture calls it a ‘path of life’ (Pro 2:19). It is Jesus Christ who is the path of life. He is the only one to say, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (Jn 14:6). Without Him, no one would be able to come to the Father. You, who had been walking on the path of death, repent and change ways on meeting Christ. You, who had been proceeding towards the hade, turn away from that path and reach the path of eternal life.

Your path needs life. You need a bright light which could lead you on the right path. The children of God and the saints possess the Bible as light and brightness. Solomon the wise says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (Pro 4:18).

Dear children of God, do not forget that God is accompanying you in your path. He will hold your hand and guide you for the whole of your lifetime. He will be of help to you in all your journeys.

Job view of himself Job 23:10

When He has tested me, I will come forth as gold

Considering how difficult it is to remain confident in the face of criticism, Job’s view of himself is remarkable. Becoming defencive when someone judges you is natural His friends see him as arrogant but Job knows God knows every detail of what was happening to him _ which was a great comfort to him.

Job knew all things work for his best. Rom 8:28. Job was sure that at the end of testing, he would come forth as refined gold It is amazing to see the light he had, even without a Bible.

We cannot escape rough situations but every trial is a chance to prove you are faithful to God
